It was another fantastic weekend of competition for the NI Sailing Team as they produced some fantastic performances in the ILCA and Feva classes.

Ellie Nolan and Niamh Coman from Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club finished 1st overall at the Feva Inland Championships at Blessington Sailing Club.

The pair put together a hugely consistent series, winning 3 of the 6 races sailed and finishing every race within the top three boats.

It has been a great season so far for Nolan and Coman, as well of the rest of the NI Sailing Team Feva sailors, and this result follows an British Nationals results where all sailors finished within the Gold Fleet.

Full results from the Inland Championships can be seen below.

Meanwhile Daniel Palmer finished 2nd overall in the ILCA 6 Class at the ILCA Western Championships in Killaloe Sailing Club. The Ballyholme Yacht Club sailor won 3 out of the 6 races sailed and was just two points off the lead following the conclusion of racing on Sunday afternoon.

This strong performance from Palmer will undoubtedly give him confidence before he travels to the Warnemünde Woche Europa Cup in Germany. This will be a key event for a number of NI Sailing Team athletes, as a credible performance at this event is a pre-requisite for Youth Worlds competition.
